Bengal Pride Scholarship

Available starting in spring 2017, the Bengal Pride Scholarship will provide annual awards of $7,500 to first-time, out-of-state students who are the children of Buffalo State alumni.


  • Must be a son/daughter of a legal parent or guardian who is a Buffalo State alumni (has received a bachelor’s or master’s from Buffalo State)

  • Must be paying out-of-state tuition

  • Must be a new student

  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours)

  • Must successfully complete 15-18 credits each semester (fall and spring)

  • Must successfully earn a minimum of 30 credits each year

  • Must enroll in summer sessions or J-term if enrollment falls below 15 credits during a fall or spring semester

  • Must maintain good standing with college and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to retain award


  • Available starting in spring 2017

  • Scholarship is renewable up to four years

  • Entry term: fall or spring only

  • Award terms: fall and spring only

  • Scholarship is non-stackable with other philanthropically and institutionally funded scholarships

  • Scholarship will be awarded based on the order in which students are accepted to the institution
