Class Visit Program: April 4-6

The Class Visit Program at Buffalo State is an invitation-only event for high school seniors that have been accepted to Buffalo State. Class Visits include:

  • A campus tour led by Student Ambassadors
  • Participation with current students in an actual class taught by a member of the Buffalo State faculty
  • A Q&A panel discussion for parents (with panelists from the Career Development Center, Financial Aid and Residence Life offices, University Police Department, and Academic Commons).


  • Welcome: 8:30 a.m. (Wednesday and Friday); 8:45 a.m. (Thursday)
  • Class Visit: 9:00 a.m. (Wednesday and Friday); 9:25 a.m. (Thursday)
  • Campus Tour: 10:00 a.m. (Wednesday and Friday); 10:30 a.m. (Thursday)

Honors Class Visit: April 4

A special one-day offering held during the Class Visit Program for students accepted into the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program.


Welcome: 2:35 p.m. (Moot Hall)
Class Visit: Honors Colloquium 400, 3:00 p.m. (Bacon Hall 222)

Honors Colloquium 400 Course Description:
Students complete original works of scholarship and creativity and present their work in a colloquium forum to allow for the maximum exchange of ideas.

Accepted students only.

Accepted students and their parents tour Buffalo State as a part of the Class Visit Program. The tours are led by Student Ambassadors.

The Class Visit Program allows accepted students to sit-in on classes with current Buffalo State students.

In the last five years, two out of three accepted students who participated in the Class Visit Program acknowledged their intentions to enroll at Buffalo State.

Nearly 90 percent of teaching faculty at Buffalo State have a doctorate degree. Post surveys show 90 percent of respondents who participated in the Class Visit agreed, Buffalo State’s teaching faculty are knowledgeable about their subject area.

Survey results show that 85 percent of accepted students felt the Class Visit gave them some idea of what it’s like to be a student at Buffalo State. Imagine yourself in one of our small classroom settings!
